For about a month I had this vision floating around in my head. I intended to just paint it but felt it needed to stand out more. Using gesso gave me the volume I wanted. Love feeling it.

'It's Personal'

This piece represents something I needed to get out of me. I started it back in May by just painting the canvas in a favorite colour and it progressed from there. It's been months in the making. All glitter work done by brush in hand! No magic pen business!!! I piped coloured gesso to separate sections and used gold and silver leafing which are all varnished for protection. Just the left side of the painting is varnished in high gloss for effect. Really a must see in the flesh. I'm proud of this work because of it's symbolic meaning.
